After the actual wedding the guests and the newly married couple head of to the reception, where there is live music or a dj and dinner and dance. The wedding band is an important part of any wedding reception as they play your song; your song is the song that will remain in your hearts as the first song that you ever danced to as a married couple, and couples never forget their wedding song.

Wedding Song Tips

A wedding ceremony is a special occasion. The goal for most couples is to make the occasion as special as possible. A couple's wedding song is typically played during the reception when the couple performs their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Of course, you can choose to play your wedding song during the wedding ceremony. Many people choose to hire a professional (often local talent or someone in the family with a pleasant voice) to sing their wedding song during the wedding ceremony before the bride makes her entrance. The following are some tips to help you with your wedding song selection.

"I will always love you" is a very popular favourite when it comes to weddings, but why choose a song like that when everyone else has had it? I personally feel you should choose a song with the greatest meaning to your relationship, the song should reflect how you feel about each other and although "I will always love you" may seem the perfect song, there has got to be something more deeper and intimate than that surely?!

Many couple like to enjoy music at their wedding; the music can be played throughout the ceremony as well as the reception so you have to think about that as well. Many couples play the traditional "here comes the bride" on the organs or the piano at the ceremony as the bride is walking down the aisle with the man that is going to give her away which is usually the bride's father but any important male in her life can be nominated as the person who gives her away! Music can be traditional, jazzy, and funky or indeed anything you want it to be.

How Do You Find The Right Band For Your Evening Wedding Reception?

By: Charles Farnes-Barnes

When planning your wedding evening entertainment, you need a top class live band who can keep your guests dancing to their favourite songs all night long. You've had a long day to organize from hairdressers to florists, from church to hotel, from photographer to food. Wouldn't it be good to be able to relax after the end of your wedding breakfast and not to have to then organize the evening as well.

I have heard many tales of woe from brides who were married in the north east area where the only entertainment booked has been a DJ, often no more than one of the hotel staff with virtually no training or experience, put behind the built in antique disco console with a small collection of tired 80s disco hits. Needless to say, the majority of the guests have sneaked away as soon as the buffet has been served and left the Bride and Groom with an empty room and a very sad end to their day. It's no good at this point wishing they'd spent a few hundred pounds extra - often no more than the cost of the cake which has not been touched - on an experienced live band to provide some first class professional entertainment for the evening.
