Selecting Your Wedding Rings

By: Jake Whitehead

Wedding rings have long been a part of the tradition of marriage. The highlight of every wedding ceremony, wedding rings represent a couple's promise of remaining faithful and loyal to each other all the time of their lives.

The use of wedding rings date as far back as the time of ancient Egypt, when Egyptians create rings from reeds (and other plants that grow on the Nile River) for couples to exchange, symbolizing their never-ending love for each other.

In Search Of The Perfect Wedding Ring

By: Jake Whitehead

The big day has been set, and now you have tons of wedding preparations to attend to - preparing the guest list, looking for a caterer, shopping for the perfect wedding dress, and a lot more.  All of these are essential in putting together a memorable wedding, so remember to have all these on your wedding checklist.  Also do remember to include on the top of your checklist, "choosing a perfect wedding ring."

Selecting a wedding ring is not as easy as it looks.  It requires much thought, too.  After all, it is the wedding band that binds the couple together and will be worn by the bride and groom for their entire married life, and therefore must be something that they would not get tired of wearing.

Princess Cut Diamond Rings Are Brilliant And Beautiful

By: Debra Botting

Princess cut diamond rings are designed to represent the ultimate in opulence and sophistication. The stones used in these rings are second most popular style on the market. The only style that is more popular than this is the brilliant round cut. The square face of the princess cut diamonds provides a very regal appearance.

There are few stones that look more grand and valuable than a princess cut diamond. Below the face of the stone it appears to be an inverted pyramid, which helps accent the face of the diamond. This style of cutting is relatively new but has gained popularity in a big way. The first princess cut diamonds were created in the 1960s.

How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Ring

Author: Sallie-ann Thorp

Your wedding ring is probably the most precious piece of jewellery you will ever own. It is also something you will be wearing every day for the rest of your life so you need to make sure you will be comfortable wearing it. Choose something that is suited to your style and your personality, that is timeless and high quality as well as within your budget. The traditional plain gold wedding band will be in style for years to come and will never date but there are many alternatives available if you prefer something more unique and individual.

It has only been during the last 50 or so years that grooms have been wearing wedding rings. Traditionally it was only the bride who wore the ring as a symbol of eternity, everlasting love and commitment. Now most weddings in the UK have bride and groom exchanging rings while they exchange their vows. Some couples like their wedding rings to be in a matching material and style but this is not essential. It is also common for brides to choose a wedding ring which matches their engagement ring. Ideally they should compliment each other and go together fit wise but there are no strict rules that the materials should be the same.
